Me at the zoo

April 23rd marks two significant anniversaries in history: the first baseball game played at Wrigley Field and the posting of the first YouTube video.

On April 23, 1914, the first baseball game was played at what was then known as Weeghman Park, now known as Wrigley Field. The Chicago Federals (later renamed the Chicago Whales) defeated the Kansas City Packers 9-1 in a Federal League game. Wrigley Field has since become one of the most iconic baseball stadiums in the United States and has been home to the Chicago Cubs since 1916.

On April 23, 2005, the first YouTube video was posted by co-founder Jawed Karim. The 18-second video, titled "Me at the zoo," features Karim standing in front of elephants at the San Diego Zoo and has since garnered millions of views. The video marked the beginning of the video-sharing website that has become an integral part of modern-day online culture and communication.
